Kathryn is a strategist, advocate, writer, and speaker. She is passionate about holistic discipleship, where our private worship leads the church to transform our communities into places of human flourishing for God’s glory. 

Kathryn has a degree in English from Texas A&M University, a law degree from the University of Texas, and a Master of Divinity from Baylor University’s Truett Seminary, and is currently working on a PhD in Religion with a focus on political theology at Baylor University.  She loves to learn and is committed to being a lifelong learner!

Kathryn has been selected as a Fellow for the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty and a Seminary Fellow for the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Professional Study of Ethics (FASPE).

Before attending seminary, Kathryn served as the Director of Public Policy for the Texas Baptists Christian Life Commission. Before serving Texas Baptists, she was the press secretary to two Texas elected officials and a policy attorney for two non-profits focused on issues affecting low-income families. 

Kathryn was one half of the podcast, Melanated Faith, a conversation about race, faith, and culture from the perspective of two Black Christian womenShe has written for Christianity TodayChrist and Pop Culture, The Baptist Standard, The Houston Chronicle, Think Christian, and Austin Woman Magazine
